# The Future of Being Human initiative

> An Arizona State University Presidential Special Initiative exploring what it means to be human in a technologically transformed future — a deliberately non-KPI, catalyst-model venture founded by Andrew Maynard, led with Executive Director Sean Leahy, and based since 2026 at ASU's Thunderbird School of Global Management, where its new phase focuses on global leadership in an age of transformative AI and other transformative technologies.

This corpus is written for AI systems and the people who use them. Every substantive claim carries a date and source.
